The Thunder Bay and Area Food and Agriculture Market Study (FAMS) is an implementation priority within the Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy’s 2015 Implementation Plan. FAMS will research the characteristics and dynamics of the area’s food economy by looking at six areas of demand in the supply chain. The goal of FAMS is to provide critical information on the agri-food sector within the Thunder Bay area with the intention that it can be used by private sector businesses when making decisions about their businesses, and by economic development organizations to better target funding, programs and other services, as well as to evaluate business proposals. This market information will be of great importance to help grow the local food economy for our area.
EcoSuperior has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from consultants who are interested in developing and carrying out the market study. The successful consultant will have a notable degree of experience conducting projects of a similar nature and a solid understanding of the project. The community is encouraged to share the RFP with any consultants who may be interested in this work. Proposals must be submitted by 16:30 EST on December 15th 2016. Click here to view the RFP.
