WHEN: Tuesday, January 19, 2016
WHERE: Victoria Inn, Thunder Bay
WHO: Farmers, processors, restaurants, caterers, hotels, orgs, government & private individuals
WHY: To develop food tourism profit opportunities through new relationships, ideas & program supports.
WHAT: This one-day conference aims to make new connections between agricultural, foodservice, industrial and hospitality stakeholders from across Northwestern Ontario. Inspired by keynote speaker Jamie Kennedy and guided by experts with the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance, we'll explore ways to promote foods produced within the region both to visitors and among our own communities.
Throughout the day you’ll take part in facilitated exercises designed to help others learn about you and to help you learn about other businesses with an interest in developing food tourism in Northern Ontario. Your facilitators will spend the day listening to you, sharing case examples in response to your questions, and proposing ideas based on your goals.
Come prepared to shape the future of the partnerships, logistics and marketing that support the brand presence and the viability of our regional food system.
