Learn How To Forage Wild Foods Through Ontario Nature's Third Annual Foraging Week!

Ontario Nature's Boreal office will be hosting the 3rd annual Foraging Week in Thunder Bay from August 18th-23rd. Foraging Week events help both inexperienced and experienced foragers learn to properly identify, sustainably harvest and use many common forest foods. Events include interpretive hikes discussing edible wild plants, medicinal wild plants and fungi, as well as a wild foods cooking class and a dehydrator workshop to improve participants' hands on/processing skills. Full event details can be found at: https://www.ontarionature.org/protect/habitat/foraging.php

Workshops are $10 per person (per workshop), though free parking is available for all events. Space is limited for several events, so please contact Mallory Vanier (malloryv(at)ontarionature.org or 807 286 1789) to reserve your spot.

The event poster is also available for download.
