Indigenous Circle Phase I Update Report Now Available!

The Indigenous Circle aims to reduce Indigenous food insecurity, increase food self-determination and establish meaningful relationships with the settler population through food.

The Indigenous Circle Phase I Update Report was a collaborative effort in determining challenges Indigenous peoples face with regards to building an equitable and sustainable food system. Six objectives emerged from initial consultations and meetings with Indigenous-led organizations in the Thunder Bay region with recommendations for Phase II of the Indigenous Circle’s development.

The full report of The Indigenous Circle Phase I Report is now available (documents can be found in the Resources tab above).

The report was supported by The Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy, Lakehead University, FLEdGE, and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
